The Indian National Flag is a symbol of national pride for the entire nation. To further honor our flag, the Hon'ble Home Minister who oversees all efforts under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has approved the program of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’. It envisages inspiring Indians everywhere to hoist the national flag at their home. The “Har Ghar Jhanda Programme” (HGJP) under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, envisages hoisting the Indian National Flag in all households during the Independence Week, i.e., from 11th August to 17th August 2022. As per the OM no: 8-14/2022-TS. V, dt: 3rd June 2022, Dept. of Higher Education, MoE, GOI, the HGJP aims to foster a spirit of personal connection with the National Flag which is a symbol of national pride. Bringing the flag to every home will strengthen the commitment to nation building.
